PROGGA Youth Forum (PYF) is the youth chapter of PROGGA (Knowledge for Progress). The principle aim of this online-based forum is to facilitate the sharing of ideas, thoughts, and knowledge among the youths from different parts of the country, to link Bangladeshi youths with diverse forums spread across the world, and also to adopt a wide array of suitable programs to ensure the healthy growth of the youth, thus engaging them in development discourse. To join this forum, interested youths (class VIII - Masters) can simply fill up a form. PYF is an apolitical platform and does not require its members to pay any membership fees.
PYF, under two of its programs: Amra Hobo Desher Joggo Uttarsuri (We Will Be the Worthy Successor of the Country) and Amader Desh Amra Gorbo (We Will Build Our Own Country), will arrange online-based lectures/discussion sessions on different topics (education, health, economy, environment, climate, and any contemporary issues) where an expert on the relevant issue will be invited. The sessions will be interactive, allowing every participant to ask questions or take part in the discussion and the topic of the discussion will be determined as per the requirements of the members. Such sessions will be organized bimonthly or quarterly. However, forum members can carry on regular discussions and knowledge sharing on the designated social media platforms. PYF will also observe international days relevant to the interests of the youth and connect itself with different international youth forums. The forum members, overall, will get the opportunity to enrich themselves and the country.
The involvement of the youth has always been a crucial factor in bringing positive development in different aspects of society and the state. According to the 2022 census, the youth population stands at 45.9 million. Without involving such a massive demographic in the development activities of the society, it is not possible to meet the development aspiration of the country and to reach the likes of the developed nations in due time.
প্রজ্ঞা ইয়ুথ ফোরাম
প্রজ্ঞা ইয়ুথ ফোরাম প্রজ্ঞা’র (প্রগতির জন্য জ্ঞান) একটি অঙ্গসংগঠন। অনলাইন ভিত্তিক এই ফোরামের মূল লক্ষ্য দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তের তরুণদের মধ্যে চিন্তা-ভাবনা ও জ্ঞান আদান-প্রদানের সুযোগ তৈরি করা, বহির্বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন ফোরামের সাথে বাংলাদেশের তরুণদের সংযোগ তৈরি করা এবং নানাবিধ লাগসই কর্মসূচি গ্রহণের মাধ্যমে তরুণদের সুস্থ বিকাশে সহায়তার মাধ্যমে উন্নয়ন ভাবনায় সম্পৃক্ত করা। আগ্রহী তরুণরা (৮ম শ্রেণি-মাষ্টার্স) একটি ফর্ম পূরণের মাধ্যমে এই ফোরামে যুক্ত হতে পারবে এবং এজন্য কোন চাঁদা বা অর্থ প্রদান করতে হবে না। এটি একটি রাজনীতিমুক্ত ফোরাম।
এই ফোরাম প্রাথমিকভাবে ‘আমরা হব দেশের যোগ্য উত্তরসূরি’ এবং ‘আমাদের দেশ আমরা গড়বো’ এই দুটো কর্মসূচির আওতায় বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে (শিক্ষা, স্বাস্থ্য, অর্থনীতি, পরিবেশ ও জলবায়ু ইত্যাদিসহ সমসাময়িক যেকোন ইস্যুতে) অনলাইভিত্তিক লেকচার/আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠান আয়োজন করবে যেখানে সংশ্লিষ্ট বিষয়ে অভিজ্ঞ ব্যক্তিকে আলোচক হিসেবে আমন্ত্রণ জানানো হবে। অনুষ্ঠানগুলো হবে ইন্টারেক্টিভ অর্থাৎ সবাই প্রশ্ন করার বা আলোচনায় অংশগ্রহণের সুযোগ পাবে এবং একইসাথে সদস্যদের চাহিদার ভিত্তিতেও আলোচ্য বিষয় নির্ধারণ করা হবে। প্রতি ২ থেকে ৩ মাস অন্তর অন্তর এই আয়োজন করা হবে। তবে ফোরামের নির্দিষ্ট সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যম ব্যবহার করে সদ্যরা নিয়মিতভাবে আলাপ-আলোচনা এবং জ্ঞান চর্চা চালিয়ে যেতে পারবে। এছাড়া তরুণদের স্বার্থসংশ্লিষ্ট বিভিন্ন দিবস উদযাপন করা হবে এবং বিভিন্ন আন্তর্জাতিক ইয়ুথ ফোরামের সাথে প্রজ্ঞা ইয়ুথ ফোরামকে যুক্ত করা হবে। সার্বিকভাবে এই ফোরামের মাধ্যমে তরুণরা একইসাথে নিজেদেরকে এবং দেশকে সমৃদ্ধ করার সুযোগ পাবে।
সমাজ ও রাষ্ট্রের বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে ইতিবাচক পরিবর্তন আনতে তরুণ জনগোষ্ঠীর সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণ অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। জনশুমারি ২০২২ অনুযায়ী, দেশে মোট তরুণের সংখ্যা ৪ কোটি ৫৯ লক্ষ। বর্তমানে এই বিশাল জনগোষ্ঠীকে সমাজের উন্নয়নমূলক কর্মকাণ্ডে সম্পৃক্ত করতে না পারলে দেশের কাঙ্ক্ষিত উন্নয়ন অর্জন সম্ভব হবে না এবং উন্নত দেশের কাতারে পৌঁছানোর লক্ষ্যমাত্রা অর্জন প্রলম্বিত হবে।
